The urban planning and urban design discourse in India is often looked at through the lens of western cities of North America and Northern Europe. This lens fails to include 90% of our population which is informal, but in fact, is the 'normal.'
Who are the stakeholders? Who are we designing the cities for? Who does the city comprise? And how do we create an inclusive, equitable and efficient Region?
